Trauma Informed Care Training

This training provides a better understanding of why people who experienced trauma behave the way they do. The goal is to increase community awareness, teach how to identify signs of trauma, understand its impact on children at their cognitive, emotional and social levels. Trauma Informed Care training also provides tools to develop resilience and to minimize the risk of vicarious traumatization to those in contact with traumatized population. This training will be effective reducing the cycle of violence and bullying through education.

Trauma Informed Care can be suitable to meet the needs of Educators and it can be modified to other systems partners interested for their staff such as Juvenile Probation, Public Health Nurses, Child & Family Services as well as Child Advocacy Center.

The Training for Practitioners and Providers consists of four hours session or it could be divided into two hour every week or every other week session.

The Trauma Informed Awareness Level for the Community is a two-hour session.
